Certified Organic Farm Fresh Raw Milk

Cocoa-Clover with her new calf Isadoro (born 6/14/11)                                Xena and Cocoa turning fresh forage into milk

Living off-grid, we try to use human and animal power as much as we can, which is why we love the fact that the cows can harvest their own feed 7 months out of the year.

Our Jersey cows are fed high quality forage, a touch of organic grain (strictly corn meal during the grazing season) and free choice kelp, salt and minerals. During the grazing season the cows are fed pasture in a Management Intensive Grazing system and stay on pasture until mid November.

We milk our cows by hand, which supports our efforts in conserving energy and resources. By handmilking our cows, we feel we are able to more closely monitor the quality of the milk and the health of our cows. This also means that when it is time to milk our cows during the grazing season, we have the pleasure of milking them in the field where they are grazing. Our cows are very friendly and enjoy the fact that they don't have to be interrupted (at least not for long) from their grazing routine.

With our  certified organic raw milk, we make yogurt, cheese, butter and provide the skim milk, whey, and buttermilk to our pigs, calves and poultry.

We also sell raw milk and welcome more customers. Pick up at the farm is required. Call us at 802-234-5524 to make arrangements.
